How well will Serum run on my laptop?

I don’t want to buy Serum unless i know my computer can handle it. When I get home, ill post a picture of my laptop’s specs which i posted on reddit s few days ago. They all said it would eork fine, but i just wanted to have the creator confirm it would run well. I am planning on doing Melodic dubstep, so lots of voices, some effects, and drum loops in the background. I can still use FL Studio plugins to make some saws, but i need serum for the dubstep elements, background effects, and possibly better chord stacks and other synths in general. If i had to estimate, i would say id have 3 or 4 synths in the chord stacks, with fl studio effects (i dont know how that affects it), 2 or 3 layers of bass, some dubstep stuff or little effects in between the chords, maybe a pad, and rarely an arp, and that would probably be the most in any section of a track other than FL stock plugins. Please tell me how cpu-hogging that will be to my laptop, and i will post the specs when i can.

Thanks,
Patrick

1.8 Ghz isn't exactly top of the line but you should have no problem with a few instances if you keep your voice count down (eg. being careful with unison or POLY). There is a demo of Serum you can use for evaluation. Serum has some upcoming additional performance improvements as well.

I've tried testing with the demo but 15 minutes isn't enough time to test and I don't want to do the splice trial because you need to put in your credit card number. Is there a way you could possibly extend the trial to an hour or something?

Also, is there any way to return it if it does not run how I need? Is there a way you could confirm I have removed the file?

Thanks,
Patrick 😀

You just quit and restart your DAW and Serum will run for another 15 minutes. You have unlimited 15-minute testing sessions.

So is there no way to get a refund if I am not satisfied with Serum?

I don't offer refunds, no… but there is no limit to the amount of time you use the demo for evaluation.
