I wanted the Splice deal but I have had a persistent problem with the Serum installer. I tried the demo version directly from Xferrecords and ran it as administrator but it always skips most of the installation files. It's too fast to recognize any particular details, but I can see lots 'Skipped …" messages.
I can't understand what is happening… Is there any log to query??
I have tried it on 2 different Win10 machines both with the same result.
You can disable your antivirus software which is probably blocking the creation of files. Or you can extract "Serum Presets" folder for \Documents\Xfer by opening the .exe with 7-zip (freeware).
Also FWIW you will see "skipped" if the files already exist, so I would also verify they don't already exist in the above location.
