can't login to old account and update serum

I created an account years ago under my mother's email, since then I have created my own but my serum license still falls under her email so I am unable to update it. The reason for that is that my mother's email has been discontinued. I cannot obtain the email for a password reset. Do I have to buy Serum again or is there a way for me to change the parent account that the product license is assigned to? I would prefer the latter if possible!
